The visit was held on Monday, July 24, 2023, between the Research Development and Innovation (RDI) of Al Madinah International University and Faculty of Defence Studies and Management at National Defence University of Malaysia (UPNM), Kuala Lumpur. This is our first visit from the RDI of AI-Madinah International University, which was headed by Prof. Dr. Asma Binti Abdul Rahman as a Deputy CEO of the Research Development and Innovation Division. The main objectives of this visit are to introduce Al-Madinah International University as one of Malaysia’s leading private Islamic universities, as well as to exchange ideas and plans to collaborate with UPNM on research, development of models, methods, and systems, innovation, training, courses, and other activities in the various fields offered by UPNM.
The RDI team met with Lt Kol Prof. Madya Ariffin bin Ismail the Dean, Dr. Salma Binti Yusof the Deputy Dean Academic and Undergraduate and Lt Kol Hj. Dr. Noor Azmi Bin Hj. Mohd Zainol the Head of the Department of State, Leadership and Civilization, UPNM. In this introductory meeting, Lt Kol Prof. Madya Ariffin bin Ismail briefly explained the background of the faculty at UPNM. We have been discussing about research collaboration, networking from both universities, learning opportunities and exchange lecturer. We are looking forward the cooperation between the universities in the near future.
